What We Believe

There is one Supreme Being, Almighty God, who is Creator, Sustainer, Redeemer, and Ruler of all things. God is infinite, eternal, and unchanging. God, by His very nature, has the right to expect man to live for and worship Him. God loves man and desires greatly to have a close relationship with him.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God, who came to earth to reveal God to man. He was God in the flesh. He died on the cross to pay for the sins of man. God raised Him from the dead to prove positively that He was His Son. This is the gospel, the power of God unto salvation. Jesus Christ now reigns in heaven as the King of kings and Lord of lords.

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired Word of God. Holy men of God were moved by the Spirit of God to write the Words of Scripture. The Bible is man's inerrant guide in all spiritual matters. The Bible centers in Jesus Christ, His work and purpose, and no portion of the Bible is properly understood until it leads to Him.

Man was made in the image of God, but chose to sin and became lost. Man is marred by sin, as attitude of disobedience toward God. Sin separates man from God, and causes emptiness in man that only a relationship with God can fill.

Salvation is the free gift of God. Man can never make up for his sin by good works or self-improvement. The death of Jesus Christ is the all-sufficient payment for sin. Man must respond, in humility, to God's free gift by faith, repentance, confession, and baptism. Upon confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and being baptized by immersion into Him, God meets man. He forgives his sin, and gives him the Holy Spirit to empower him to live like Jesus Christ.

The Church

The church consists of all who are in Jesus Christ. The church is redeemed from sin, is in a saved relationship with God, and is set apart by God's Spirit to be holy. The purpose of the church is to make known the manifold wisdom of God, and to continue the work and services of Jesus Christ in a loving, united manner. The church is a fellowship, which gathers to build up one another to be like Jesus Christ through our worship, prayers, and Bible study. The church is a body and each member is expected to add to the functioning of the body.

The End

This world will come to an end, and the time of grace will be over. Jesus Christ will appear again and call all His living saints to be with Him. The dead will be raised. All mankind will appear before Him to be judged, and will be held responsible for their life. The righteous will be given a place with God in heaven. The unrighteous will be assigned a place in hell with the devil.
